We are seeking a driven, confident, and passionate Senior Buyer for Zalora’s Women’s Modest Fashion Category. Reporting to the Category Manager, this role involves managing local designer brands, driving purchasing decisions based on designer presentations, and staying ahead of market trends. The successful candidate will ensure designers adhere to critical timelines, handle order placements, manage designer requests, and work closely with the marketing team for brand launches. This is a unique and exciting opportunity to influence consumers and make a positive impact on Zalora and your career. Responsibilities: 1. Managing Designer Brands: - Build and maintain strong relationships with local designers. - Act as the main point of contact for all designer-related inquiries and requests. - Ensure designers adhere to critical paths and timelines for product delivery.2. Fashion Buying: - Attend designer presentations and fashion shows to make informed buying decisions. - Understand market trends to identify key products for purchase. - Analyze consumer buying patterns and predict future trends in the modest fashion segment.3. Market Analysis and Trend Forecasting: - Conduct thorough market research to stay updated on emerging trends. - Develop and propose strategic buying strategies based on market insights.4. Order Placement and Inventory Management: - Manage the entire order placement process, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.5. Collaboration and Communication: - Work closely with the marketing team to plan and execute brand launches and promotions. - Collaborate with Marketplace Key Account Managers to ensure seamless integration of products across platforms. - Liaise with internal departments to ensure smooth execution of projects and promotions. Requirements: - Educational and Professional Background:- Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Merchandising, Business Administration, or a related field.- Minimum of 5 years of relevant working experience, preferably in fashion merchandising within a multi-brand environment. Skills and Competencies: - Strong knowledge of modest fashion trends and the local designer market. - Excellent negotiation and vendor management skills. - Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales data and market trends. - Proficiency in inventory management and financial planning. - Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Personal Attributes: - Highly organized and detail-oriented. - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously. - Passionate about fashion and staying updated on industry trends. - Own transportation is required.
