About the department This position will be part of the Market Access Public Affairs (MAPA) Department at Novo Nordisk Malaysia. Our team is motivated to improving patient access to our life-changing therapies. We work collaboratively with health economic opinion leaders, reimbursement agencies, medical associations, and primary care organizations to shape opinions and secure reimbursement for our products. This role will report directly to MAPA Director and dotted reporting line to People & Organization (P&O) Director to assist with Organization Change Management & Sustainability efforts. The position The Communications Manager will be in charge of leading comprehensive marketing and communications programs to enhance the organization's image, manage internal and external communications, and uphold stakeholder engagement. Additionally, involved in developing crisis communication plans and providing support for organizational change management and sustainability efforts under the P&O Director's guidance. Other role expectations are as follows: Develop key messages and positioning platform for leadership and create all internal communications in line with corporate guidelines. Strive to improve communication at various levels within the organization to maximize motivation and business results. Create content for ongoing publication of news and information in appropriate employee communication outlets using a range of media channels. Plan and execute media relations activities, including social media and disease awareness programs. Establish communications support for stakeholder engagement, including targeted patient engagement and advocacy groups. Qualifications A bachelor's degree or higher in mass communications, business, journalism, or a related discipline preferred. Excellent interpersonal, English communications, presentation, and writing skills. 5-8 years of experience in public relations/communications, corporate affairs, or external affairs. Proven experience in the healthcare industry will be an advantage. A strong background in stakeholder engagement and advocacy is beneficial.
