About The Team Our mission at BAE Systems Digital Intelligence is to collect, connect and understand complex data, so that our customers can unlock digital advantage in the most demanding environments. At our Malaysian Global Delivery Centre we work with clients from around the world to deliver engineering services in the industries of defense and cybersecurity to meet our customer’s needs. About the role This a talent pooling role based on forecast future work, we can provide more specific role details during the interview process. As a junior full stack software engineer you will be placed in one of several potential projects based on career preference, current technological experience and business needs. These roles will relate to development of new software products. The job role may include: Developing object orientated software code in high level languages such as Java or Python Developing front end applications using the React framework Creating supporting CI infrastructure using technologies such as Jenkins and Docker Debugging software issues and finding root causes of common faults Being involved in scrum/agile development processes Role Requirement Relevant work experience an advantage but open to consider high performing graduates who can evidence strong abilities in above areas. Should possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science / Information Technology / Engineering or equivalent with minimum CGPA 3.00 Candidate should have knowledge of Object-Oriented software programming and evidence hand’s-on coding ability Strong analytical and numerical skills Good communication skills Articulate in English, both verbally and in writing Objective, logical and enquiring mind Creative, persuasive and team player What We Offer Work-life balance is important; you’ll get 18 days annual leave a year (increases to 21 after 5 years’ service) We support hybrid working and give flexibility to teams to decide on the balance between remote and office based working. Required time in the office depends on assigned team but it is typically not expected to be more than 2 days per week.
