The Product Strategy and Special Projects team , part of Economics & Data Science (EDS), is looking for an Actuarial Specialist for Product analysis, focusing on Individual and Group Accident & Health business across the Asia markets. This person will work closely with the Market Leads in translating our economics capabilities into meaningful profit and growth strategies. Responsibilities will include developing deep product knowledge for assigned markets and monitoring and evaluating Product initiatives. The role will be expected to maintain sufficient analytical and data set-up for assigned markets to support Markets Leads and work with moderation supervision and directions. They must establish strong relationships with the Market Leads, members of the in-country Product team and broader EDS team. Responsibilities: Build, develop and maintain Profit and Growth intelligence to monitor overall health of the business. This includes designing and maintaining a regional health dashboard with the aim of providing actionable insights as well as setting pricing assumptions. Promote the use of dashboards to local markets to drive business decisions. Remain vigilant for data gaps, biases and continuously enhance the analytical capabilities to improve accuracy of insights and streamline the process for increased efficiency. Support the Market Leads in generating relevant reports for monitoring and experience tracking purpose. Develop deep market and product competitiveness insights for designated markets to drive meaningful recommendations for profitable growth. Partner with in-market and global teams to facilitate quality and efficient data access. Collaborate with the broader EDS team on ad-hoc projects. This includes providing technical support or feedback, facilitating seamless information flow, and regularly updating the project status to ensure timely deliverables and decisions are effectively communicated. Qualifications: Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Economics, Actuarial Science or related field with minimum 2 -3 years of relevant experience Ability to query and manipulate large datasets for analysis. Experience and knowledge of various programming languages and tools (e.g., SQL, SAS, Power BI, Python, etc). Knowledge of insurance operations and the procedures of Financial, Underwriting, Claims, Statistical, Information Technology or Sales departments is preferred. Experience of working with countries in Asia Pacific is highly regarded. Ability to establish and build effective relations within and outside the organization. Strong communication skills, include ability to clearly articulate analysis, present findings and recommendations to target audience.
